Couples’ Choice Awards
I’ve been serving the Green Bay, Appleton, Neenah/Menasha and Oshkosh areas for over 10 years now. I’ve photographed over 500 weddings, met some pretty incredibly people, traveled to exotic locations that I never thought I’d get to see, and gained a lot of insight on what it means to be a business owner and entrepreneur. I’ve worked harder than ever to achieve my goals, and this year, I was once again awarded the 2018 Couples’ Choice Award.
I’ve received this award every year for the past 10 years, and it’s my goal to keep doing so. But I have to tell you: winning this award doesn’t say as much about me as it does about my clients. I always try to make sure they are completely satisfied with my work, that their photos are exactly the way they want them. I try to capture all the important people at the event and to capture their true personalities. I try to make sure my clients have fun on their wedding day instead of feeling like they spent the day in a continuous photoshoot. Basically, I want my clients to have the experience I would want to have.
It’s no easy task, but I feel it’s very important—not just for my own personal integrity but for the couples whose lasting memories I’m documenting for them to cherish forever. Living in the moment matters. And spending couples’ wedding days with them, creating those memories . . . well, that’s pretty special.
But while I want my clients to have fun, I also want to enjoy myself too. That’s why I continue to try to reinvent myself, to push my skill set and explore new things. I am naturally curious and want to experience every aspect photography—and now cinematography—that I’m able to.
I want to continue to explore new places. From the shores of Kauai, Hawaii, to the ballroom of an Alabama hotel for an elaborate Hindu wedding, I’ve been so lucky to travel to the kinds of places, meet the kinds of people, and make the kinds of memories that other people only dream of.
Here’s to another year filled with amazing memories, moments, and images.
