A Neenah, Wisconsin Photographer’s Life Comes Full Circle

Sometimes life has a funny way of coming full circle. See how my interest in photography resulted in a wonderful twist of fate.

When I attended Neenah High School, I stumbled into a young lady’s photography class. Her name was Kaitlan. She captivated me as much as the photography lab did.

I decided to stay.  She did, too.  Kaitlan later became my wife.  And I later became a professional photographer.

The instructor, Steven, told me about his beautiful daughter, Lily.  Lily was just born.  He was proud and excited.  He was a dad to his youngest baby girl.

18 years later, I was called upon to take Lily’s headshots.  Steven gave me this camera.  It came from the cabinet of the photography class that my wife and I met.

It has been held in the hands of hundreds of students learning.  Maybe some of them took family photos.  Maybe some of them took photos of their favorite landscapes.

I plan to take photos of our two daughters, Scarlett and Sabrina.  Maybe of them running downtown.  Or having a picnic.  Or just making silly faces.

Sometimes, life has a funny way of coming full circle.  Thank you, Steven, for the camera.  It means more than you know.
